About this Indicator:
The “Community Engagement Index” is vital for ensuring inclusive decision-making and informed community participation. The score consists of several measures related to the City’s “Have Your Say” site, as well as benchmarking our social media engagement against industry standards. This KPI tracks engagement rates and ensures diverse audiences are well-informed and engaging with the City to inform City decisions.
Notes on Recent Performance:
The City’s goal is to maintain or improve rates of engagement each year. This community engagement index reflects performance on several key online platforms including Have Your Say Guelph, Facebook, X, and Instagram. Engagement work on these platforms is supported through strategic plans and tactics including the One City, One Voice, Shared Purpose Plan. Performance on this measure increased slightly since the last reporting period.
