About this Indicator:
The “Race to Zero” is a global campaign led by the United Nations to rally leadership and support from businesses, cities, regions, investors, and educational institutions to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. The campaign aims to limit global warming to 1.5°C by encouraging participants to set interim targets for 2030 and implement high-impact actions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The pledge program is part of City of Guelph’s efforts to involve residents, businesses, and other organizations in signing on to take part in meeting these important goals.
